About Us
Receive a warm welcome at our wonderful family run farm shop.
Situated in the picturesque Powderham Castle estate; ‘The heart of Devon’, enjoying stunning views of Powderham Castle, across its splendid deer park and the beautiful River Exe. Choose from a variety of speciality and locally sourced produce to enjoy a ‘proper’ taste of Devon.
Our expert butchers carefully source all our meat from local farms and proudly supply Powderham Venison which are reared and farmed on the estate. Enjoy many of life’s small indulgencies with a wide selection of hand made pies, pasties and cakes, washed down with a delightful cup of Devonshire Tea or our organic coffee from Devonshire Brewster’s, Owens.
Perhaps enjoy these within our quaint café, picnic area or outside overlooking the deer park. The delicatessen also offers a range of delicious cheeses, home made quiches and Scotch eggs and so much more. We pride ourselves on the assortment of speciality products within the farm shop, a wide selection of locally sourced fruit and veg and many products to tempt and satisfy the taste buds, as well as supplying premium kitchenware and beautiful unique gifts.
Powderham Estate
The Estate comprises 3500 acres of land with 4 farms, woodland, 33 houses and approximately 3 miles of foreshore.
Through the proactive management of the Estate we aim to:
- Protect the outstanding scenic interest of the Estate
- Protect the Estate’s sustainability, the economic viability and continued survival.
- Conserve and where appropriate restore the main elements of the designed historic landscape and built features.
- Manage the landscape to enhance nature conservation
